Management Accountant – FILLED
Cirencester, Gloucestershire | £27000 - £30000 per annum + 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
Management Accountant; ACCA, Part-qualified
We are looking for a part-qualified Management Accountant to join a fantastic charitable trust.
Based in a lovely rural town on the outskirts of Cirencester, the organisation are undergoing a period of significant growth and change; strategically looking at the areas they work and why, reviewing how they reach new audiences and considering how to work collaboratively across their sector to increase their own influence and impact and that of others.

Working within the accounting team your key duties as Management Accountant will include administration of in-month accounting processes, production of monthly management accounts, variance analysis of actual vs. budget, forecasting, VAT returns, preparation of budget and forecasts along with intercompany reconciliations. You will be expected to assist with annual audit processes, consolidated accounts and payroll processing.
Specific responsibilities of the job include:
- Preparing reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
- Undertaking financial administration, for example journals, ad-hoc invoicing and transaction processing, reconciliations and so on
- Supporting year-end accounts preparation, external and internal audit work
- Working with budget holders and other colleagues on budgets, management accounts, variance analysis and any management reports
- Support development, implementation and running of efficient and effective financial systems, policies and processes
- Forecasting income and revenue expenditure, cash and capital expenditure
We are looking for a proactive, motivated and enthusiastic management accountant to work with the finance team and other colleagues to deliver excellent financial management and support the changes ahead.
For this exciting opportunity you must have experience within a similar role, be part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with a minimum of three years experience. You will have excellent communication skills and a self-motivated approach. You will be experienced in using accounting, payroll, database and Microsoft Office systems, have intermediate or advanced MS Excel skills, work well under pressure and have strong experience in management accounting processes.
