The January Job Surge: How to Attract Top Talent in a Competitive Market
The January job surge. A flurry of activity from job seekers eager to kickstart…

It has been an exciting month for Niche Recruitment. We have welcomed Hannah Tiley to our growing team (more details to follow), we have celebrated our best ever quarter, and to top it all off…it was Niche Recruitment’s 3rd Birthday.
As a celebratory treat, Niche Directors; Nick and Michelle took the team on an adventure. With ‘out of offices’ turned on, we were off! First on the agenda? An Escape Room.
If you’ve never been to an escape room, it’s effectively an hour of themed stress…In the best possible way. You’re taken as a team into a small room, locked inside, and then a story unfolds, within which you have 60 minutes to unravel a complex series of riddles as a team to escape.
We made it out; just, with 5 minutes to spare. If you look closely, you can see the sheen of relief on our faces.
Released from captivity and into the wild, we moved onwards to Bath for the next part of the Niche Birthday Party (not without a cheeky glass of Prosecco on the way). In a stroke of luck, it so happened that our 3rd Birthday party landed on the same date as ‘Pub in the Park’ hosted by celebrity Chef: Tom Kerridge. Andrea was a little star-struck when she met her idol Angela Hartnett!
Jam-packed with Michelin star ‘pop-up’ restaurants, seas of spirit brands, live chef demonstrations, chill-out areas, and artisan products, PITP was a great day out. Dishes of the day featured Seared Scallops with Samphire Butter, the motherload of milkshakes, and Pollock Hotdogs (try saying that 3 times fast after a couple of gins). www.pubintheparkuk.com
If that wasn’t enough, live music from Tom Odell and Mel C also serenaded into the evening. If you ever get a chance to visit one of the festival locations as it tours around the UK, we highly recommend it! The weather was glorious and it was a lovely day out for all.
