Researchers have dubbed the third Monday of January every year as Blue Monday. Today (January 18th 2021) is apparently the most depressing day of the year with people’s moods being affected by their post-Christmas finances, the cold weather, unsuccessful New Year’s resolutions and the long wait for the summer. However, there is no scientific proof behind this claim and in fact, the day was originally created in 2005 by an American holiday company as a PR ploy to sell more holidays!
Well, here at Niche Recruitment we have decided to flip Blue Monday on its head and make it as positive as possible! We are all having a cup of positivi-tea! You can make the choice as well! Either you can choose to believe that today will be grim and depressing, or you can choose to believe it will be a beautiful day, after all.
