5 top tips to help you find your Niche and discover the perfect job!
Finding a new job or making a fresh career move, can be incredibly daunting when you’re not entirely sure what your perfect job role is. Discovering the right career path for you, can provide increased motivation and a newfound enjoyment to your daily life. New research released by Slack this year, revealed that almost a third of UK workers are considering moving to a new job in 2022. In light of this new data, we wanted to give some top tips on how to find your career niche!
1) Take a Career Test
Remember those personality quizzes you’d do when you were younger to find out what Disney character you were? (We all did them.) Very similar online questionnaires are available for matching your personality with your dream career. It might seem silly, but these tests can be really helpful when figuring out what job role will best suit you.

2) Identify Your Values
Everyone has different things that are important to them, maybe your family orientated and would prefer a hybrid role, that allows you more time at home. Perhaps you’re passionate about social issues and are looking for a job role that allows you to make a difference. The key is to sit down and list what is most important to you, both as an individual and a professional.
Once you know what you want to prioritise, it will give you a better understanding of what to look for in the job descriptions.
3) Do Your Homework
As society develops and new industries are born, the different types of job roles available increase. As a result, it’s always worth doing your homework and researching the job market. You may find that your perfect role, is one you are yet to discover. Simply start by searching the key skills and passions you have and go from there!

Do this by chatting to people about their jobs or watching ‘day-in a life’ videos online. However, you choose to investigate, make sure you’re not limiting yourself to your comfort-zone.
