Look at what people in your chosen industry are posting and sharing. Make sure to put your personal spin on the content you post. This is a great platform to share your key achievements, portfolio and skills.

2) Build your Network

Who you know can be just as helpful to you as what you know. However, this can be difficult if you are a graduate or college leaver starting your network from scratch. Bonus Tip: If you’re a graduate, connect with lecturers, tutors and guest speakers and build your network from there.



3) Emphasise Soft Skills

Soft skills can be just as valuable to employers as practical abilities. If you’re looking for a customer-facing role, focus on communication. If it’s an administrative role you’re going for, highlight your strong attention to detail.

Make sure to keep descriptions of softer skills clear and concise, don’t waste precious CV space.

It’s 2023, and you can get pretty much anything your heart desires online nowadays, so why not grab yourself a qualification while checking out your Amazon basket? Free online certifications not only expand your skills but also give your CV that extra boost when pinned against 50+ others.

You can get free certifications on platforms such as; Google Digital Garage, Google Analytics Academy and LinkedIn Learning.
