We’ve seen many of our temps being offered contract extensions or full-time positions, in fact 60% of our temps convert to permanent or fixed-term contracts. Pay, Rights And Notice Period

There is sometimes a misconception that temping doesn’t afford the same rights to the employee as permanent positions.

Temps are offered the same rights as permanent employees including holiday pay, statutory sick pay and pension schemes. Due to the nature of the contract, temps are paid weekly (one week in arrears) and therefore the notice period is also shorter (just one week).

The reassurance of having the same rights as permanent employees makes temping an even more attractive proposition. In a fast-changing world we’re seeing lots of people attracted to the world of temping for the variety of benefits it brings, reassured by having the same workers rights as any other employee.
